THE “WHY” OF YOUR LOVE
Continue to give with good intentions. Love is a good thing, and it is meant to be given, even before you know how it will be received.
Take a deep breath. The why of your love is what matters.
Don’t give up on love. Don’t give up on giving love. You may not have seen the fruit of your love, and you may wonder why all of the time and energy you gave was not enough, but even then, even then, don’t give up. Continue to trust that love is endless and boundless and even more relationships change, love will not go away. You will still be found in love on the most ordinary days.
Remember this when you are feeling the weight of the brokenness. Remember this when you feel like you are running out of time. As long as you are still here, there is still room for the to and fro, the learning-as-go, trusting in the unknown: there is still room for belonging. There is still time and space to be heard. Seen. Loved.
So take heart. Breathe deep. Don’t give up just yet. Allow your heart to soften into the possibility that maybe some of the seeds you have sown will still grow. You may see doors close and you may notice there are quite a few phone numbers in your phone that you can’t even imagine calling anymore, but even then, I hope you can trust: love is still worth loving for.
Show love.
Give love.
Be love.
The why of your love matters, no matter the uncertainty.
This week is a special series called "All Along You Were Blooming", featuring pieces from my new book and messages inspired by the poems. I've also filmed a video reading and singing to each poem that will be available at the end of each message this week in the Storyteller App.
