EVEN HERE, YOU ARE FREE TO KNOW LOVE

May your heart
remain untroubled
when your strength does not look
like you thought it would.
Do not be discouraged by the days
or the seasons when you feel a little weak.
Even then, you are still becoming.
You are still stronger than you were last year.
You are still moving forward, beyond the boundaries of your fears.

And beyond the limits of your fears,
there is endless, boundless love,
ever-reminding you:

Yes, you are still on the journey, but you have come so far. A year ago, you did not know you were going to find the courage you are finding right now. You did not know that in this very season, you would be gathering stories of resilience that will matter so much more than you ever imagined. A year ago, you couldn’t possibly comprehend how things could change so vastly and quickly the way that they have. And this is also true: you couldn’t possibly comprehend the strength and courage you would gather. You couldn’t fathom how you would feel a sense of love, even in the wild of changing things. Even if it is subtle, it matters. This is growth. This is transformation. This is a grace-filled reminder that even here, you are known. And whether you feel courageous or afraid, strong or weak, or somewhere in between:

You are loved. You are loved, endlessly.
