ALL ALONG, YOU WERE STRONG.

We know that our life experiences are going to shape us, and yet, we don’t know how. We don’t know how everything is going to come together. However, the beautiful thing about life is this: one day, we look back and see that there was a rhythm and flow to it all that we had not seen before. Even in the chaos and the uncertainty, and all of our unanswered questions, every season we continued to carry on taught us something truly valuable. And even when we are still feel faced with unknowns, we can be grateful for this. We can see that that the very things we thought were going to keep us from growing were the very things that propelled us and pushed us forth into our bloom.

These words from a dear friend on her journey through singleness and changing seasons really spoke to me, and I hope it speaks to you, too:

“Now, I have a deeper appreciation for it all than ever before. And if I’m honest, I would go back and tell myself to really soak in what I was learning. I would encourage myself to lean into the discomfort versus complaining and desperately trying to find a way out. It’s those seasons and difficult positions that have not only qualified me for where I am today but have also prepared me for where I’m going next. In fact, the most frustrating positions I had are the very ones that grew me the most, and it’s my singleness that has given me the freedom and ability to be in a place where my dreams I once had on paper are now my reality.” – Monica Zuniga, @monicamanda.co

You never know how your present circumstances are going to shape you, but you can choose to have gratitude. You can choose to trust that through all you do not know, you will still grow. You will still move forward in meaningful ways. You will look back and on this season saying, “All along, I was right where I belonged. All along, I was strong, and I was so much more capable than I ever thought I was.”
