YOU ARE SLOWLY BEGINNING TO SEE IT

Whenever you start to feel overwhelmed by all you haven't done, I hope you can remember what is already happening right here. Right here, small things are blooming that may be hard to notice at first, but the closer you look, the more you will find:

You made it through yesterday.

You learned something new.

You acted on courage.

You practiced pursuing peace.

You took a moment to pause (like you’re doing right now, by reading this).

Yes, these are small things, but what if, they were also their own little wildflowers springing up in a vast field that is the landscape of your life?

What if the small things were, in fact small, but also, a part of something bigger?

For there will be days when it does not feel like very much, and in that space, I just hope you can trust that the more you slow down, the more you see that there is so much more to the story that is slowly being revealed to you.

For here in the waiting, in the garden of your mind, the more you slow down, the more you will begin to notice: already, the lilies are beginning to form, the roses are swelling in their buds, bold and vibrant colors are poking up through the ground.

Yes, they are small things, but they are things that are happening in the waiting, something beautiful taking shape where you thought there would be nothing. So much is already happening here, and you are slowly beginning to see it.
