YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BE PROUD OF YOUR PROGRESS EVEN WHILE YOU ARE STILL ON THE JOURNEY
You are allowed to be proud of your progress even while you are still on the journey. Progress isn't something that is always easily observable in the physical sense.
However, may you always remember that some of the most significant strides often take place on the inside, beyond the scope of what others will see from the outside.
Certainly, many people will acknowledge and commend your progress when it's evident and tangible, like when you secure a new job, enter a new relationship, or relocate to a new house. However, at the same, you can choose to be the one who remembers that progress isn't solely about external achievements but able to the depth of the ways you are growing within, too.
You are allowed to name the ways you have been making progress even before others do. You do not have to wait on others to create language that reflects the experiences you’ve been having. You’re allowed to say things like this:
-“While learning to practice peace in this time of life, I am noticing how taking time to breathe isn't insignificant but very valuable. This internal shift may not be visible to others, but I know it makes a difference.”
-“While on my journey towards being kind to myself, I am noticing my growth in my ability to say 'no' when my plate is full. This invisible transformation is a remarkable achievement, and I will continue to nurture this."
-"On my quest for becoming more aware, I note the progress in the way I am becoming more attuned to my emotions, a subtle shift not noticed by others but monumental in my journey."
There is a certain kind of growth that might not be easily noticeable to others but still holds immense significance. It’s the kind of growth that takes root in the depths, blossoms quietly within, taking shape within your story, quietly yet powerfully. Remember to be grateful for these internal signs of growth, for they are worth paying attention to and will only continue to bloom.
