SLOW DOWN, YOU'RE WORTH IT

I hope you can take time for yourself. Being able to breathe fresh air and having a quiet hour all to yourself is important. I know it may feel selfish at times when there's so much to do and there are other people counting on you, but trust me when I tell you: taking the time away from everything else makes a difference. You can only keep going for so long. Quiet, slower moments are spaces to foster rejuvenation.

Rejuvenation is "the action or process of giving new energy or vigor to something." Through rejuvenation, you are able to revisit all that seems confusing with a fresh perspective. You will be able to comprehend what's perplexing more clearly. You'll have a better understanding of what we're giving energy to.

I hope you will find the time to restore yourself even before your energy has run completely out. I hope that when you begin to consider all of the ways in which you may contribute to humanity, you remember how essential rest is.

Your body needs rest. Your soul needs rest. And this is also true: there are people in your community who need rest, too. So when you make the decision to rest as a form of rejuvenation, you become an example to others of how they can do the same. Think about how hard it is for you to feel like you are worthy of rest...there are many others feeling the same way.

May today be the day you decide to carve out moments of doing nothing at all. Whether it's for a few moments or hours at a time, let this be the season you make room for rejuvenation.

You have a lot to give...but you have to be filled up before you can continue.

Slow down.
Take the time.
You're worth it.
