KEEP CHOOSING TO SHOW UP EVERY DAY
Encouraging words for when it does not feel like you are ‘becoming:’
You were not meant to hide away. Your presence matters greatly, even when it does not feel that way. Even when you do not know what you feel, I hope you can stay awake. I hope you can see that despite your unknowns today is a bold, new day. Come forth, come into view of the Light. Let yourself be surprised by new places where you find peace of mind. You have your way of doing things and you have found your safe rhythms. You have turned your attention away from the tension in pursuit of freedom, calmness, and rest. It has been so hard for you to be awake, out in the open, when everything feels like too much. When so many things have been broken. I just hope you know, even then, the morning sun will continue to rise in the sky. Let yourself feel the soft heat on your skin. Come alive, come alive, from within. Step into this present moment, even if you do not know what to do with it.
You do not have to know how you matter or where you will matter to come stumbling into the Light. You are free to explore what it means to be present in a persistent way, even if it means you travel at a slow steady pace. What matters is that you have chosen to keep showing up every day. You have chosen to show up to the page, where your story is being written.
You are not invisible to this world and even though it’s hard to see, we need you here. You were not meant to hide away even though the pressure of life has made you feel that way. You are free to break out of a routine and the way you hoped things would be. You are free to trust that there is abundant room for living on the other side of letting go. And at every moment, you are guided and seen, no matter what is unknown.
Word of the day: Forth "out from a starting point and forward or into view" (Oxford English Dictionary)
Affirmation: "I am valuable when I show up, where I am, as I am."
Journal: Write about something in your life that you are uncertain about. What are some ways you can write hope into the situation? Try rewriting your entry with a hopeful tone.
