GIVING YOURSELF PERMISSION TO BREATHE
Amidst all that is unknown, there is still room to ask yourself this question: “What does it look like to find peace right now, even in the smallest ways?”
Perhaps, this could look like…
Giving yourself permission to breathe through each moment while also granting yourself permission to be honest with yourself about what you're feeling is an important step.
Giving yourself permission to take breaks whenever you feel the need to because you are aware that even when it comes to important matters, you will be able to concentrate more effectively with a mind that is clear and well-rested.
Permitting yourself to take a nap even when you're having trouble convincing yourself that you deserve it.
Having the freedom to set your own limits and boundaries
Giving yourself permission to view taking long, slow breaths as a form of self-care is the first step.
Giving yourself permission to consider activities such as drink water, stretching, going outside for some air, and listening to music as indications that you are still present in this life.
Permitting yourself to work toward maintaining peace and tranquility on a community level for the sake of others because you recognize how vital it is that more people have room to breathe in their personal lives
Let this to be the time of your life when you make the conscious decision to believe that finding peace right here, right now, doesn't have to look a certain way. And it's also okay if the way you pursue peace each day changes day by day.
What matters is that you're making the effort to seek peace every day, even in the smallest ways. Here's to finding peace right now.
