BEAUTY EVEN IN THE SLOWER SEASONS
No matter what is unknown,
there is beauty in slowness
in traces of Light
dancing on the windowpane
pausing between sentences
growing longer and longer
as we wait.
I hope this is the season you find the beauty of silence. I hope you listen and find that even when you do not hear an audible voice, there is a bed of music in the sounds of leaves blowing, plants growing...moving so slow that you cannot see it happening in real-time. You just have to trust that the growth is happening, day by day, night by night.
You do not have to be in a rush. There is beauty in learning to trust that as the pauses between sentences go longer and longer, your tired, heavy is still held together in grace. Your mind might be all over the place but you are no less worthy of being loved in this very moment.
Trust.
Trust.
Trust that traces of Light are lingering right in these moments. You have known shadows but they have not consumed you. They informed you but they have not defined you. So I hope you can be less afraid of them in this season. I hope you don’t think you have to think your way through every shadow and navigate all of this on your own.
